Hilo Motion Pictures has produced film across Orange County since 2003. More than 500 productions, from Newport Coast listings to Irvine boardrooms to Newport Harbour on open water. One company, one county, twenty-two years.

Orange County Cities We Film In
Newport Beach and Irvine account for most of our week, but the service area is the whole county — Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Fullerton, Tustin, Mission Viejo and San Clemente, plus Palm Springs. Twenty-two years in one county means we are not learning your location on your shoot day. We know which Fashion Island entrances allow a cart, where the light lands on the Laguna bluffs at five o clock, and which Newport Harbour docks need permission before a tripod comes out.

Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Corona del Mar, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, Anaheim, Santa Ana and Tustin. We shoot all of it and we have shot most of it repeatedly.
That matters more than it sounds. Knowing where the sun lands on Von Karman at four, which buildings want insurance certificates in advance, and which stretch of coast is worth the drive at golden hour is the difference between a smooth day and an expensive one.

Diamon-Fusion International — Amazon Product Video
DFI makes a protective glass coating, which means the product is invisible. You are filming an absence. We shot before-and-after under controlled light, in macro, with water behaving completely differently on each panel — the one shot that makes an invisible product visible.
Thirteen videos across the Amazon listing and A+ content on a sixty-day production window, plus a Fuse Cube manufacturing film and a spokesperson series. We also waited for real Southern California rain to capture genuine windshield build-up rather than faking it in studio, because on Amazon the difference reads instantly.

Mag Bay Yachts 33 — Newport Beach to Miami
Mag Bay was founded in 2014 by Mike and Barrett Howarth, the Newport Beach family who co-founded Cabo Yachts in 1991. The 33 Center Console was their inaugural model — a Michael Peters hull built, in Barrett's words, as “a boat of details, where we focus on building everything, even the smallest items, to the highest craftsmanship standards possible.”
We shot it across two coasts. Quadcopter aerials at 4.5K, long cinema lens work from the ground in Newport Beach, and a second unit across locations in Miami. Captured in 4.5K, 5K and 4K, mastered to 1080. A builder that obsessive about finish does not hand the camera to just anyone.
