What is event video production?
Event video production is filming a live event and turning it into films people watch afterward: a highlight reel, full sessions and short social cuts. At Hilo Motion Pictures, Timothy Kline directs every event and plans the coverage before the doors open, so the moments that matter are on camera.
What kinds of events do you film?
Conferences and summits, product launches, galas and fundraisers, art and museum unveilings, company celebrations and trade shows. If people gather and something happens worth remembering, we can plan coverage for it, from a single keynote to a full multi-day program with several rooms running at once.
Can you record full sessions as well as a highlight film?
Yes. We record keynotes and panels in full with clean audio for on-demand viewing, and cut a separate highlight film that captures the feel of the event. Most clients take both, plus short social cuts, from the same day of coverage.
How many cameras do you bring?
It depends on the room and the program. A single stage usually needs two or three cameras plus separate audio; a multi-room conference needs more. We set the camera plan from your run of show during planning, before the event day.
Do you film events outside Orange County?
Yes. Most of our events are in Orange County, from Newport Beach and Irvine to Laguna Niguel and Anaheim, and we travel for events across Southern California and beyond when a client needs us there.
How much does event video production cost?
Cost follows scope: hours on site, number of cameras, rooms, and how many films you need afterward. Tell us the number you want to spend, send the quote form, and we will build the coverage to it. Color grading is included in every Hilo production.

In January 2026, a museum in Laguna Niguel unveiled a new painting and mural honoring a family's long history in Orange County's arts. The financial firm sponsoring the evening asked us to film it: the unveiling, the guests and remarks from the sponsor's team. We cut a cinematic highlight film that carries the emotion of the night.
