How a Drone Shoot Works
1. The brief. You tell us the location, what the film has to do and where it will run. We decide which shots belong in the air and which belong on the ground.
2. The shot list. You get a written shot list and a written quote. We check the airspace, secure FAA authorization where it's needed, and plan around sun, tide and wind.
3. The shoot day. An FAA Part 107 pilot, a camera operator and a ground crew on one team, with aerial and ground coverage shot the same day. Studio shoots happen at a professional studio in Irvine; aerial happens on location, anywhere you need.
4. The edit. Watermarked review cuts first, then two rounds of revisions. Aerial and ground footage are graded together so every shot belongs to the same film.
5. Delivery. Final files in every ratio you need: website, social, broadcast and presentations.
What Aerial Adds to a Film
Aerial does three things a ground camera can't. It shows scale, so a viewer understands how big a site, a building or a boat really is. It shows context: what surrounds the subject and why that matters. And it moves in ways that keep a two-minute film alive past the thirty-second mark.
We fly aerial to serve the edit. Every flight is planned against the ground coverage and graded with it, so the drone opens the story and the ground cameras carry it.
What We Shoot for Drone Video
Marine and yacht. Orbits at cruising speed, chase passes with the wake as a graphic line, and golden-hour circles over open water.
Coastline and destinations. Newport Coast reveals, harbor passes and beach-town aerials from Huntington Beach to Laguna Beach that put a place on the map in one shot.
Commercial and real estate. Properties, campuses and resorts shot for scale and access: how big it is, what's around it and how you get there.

Mag Bay Yachts: Sportfishers on the Water
Mag Bay Yachts builds sportfishing boats in Newport Beach, and a boat like that sells from the air. On the dock, a sportfisher is a spec sheet. On the water, at speed, with the wake cutting a white line behind it, it's the reason someone buys one.
We filmed Mag Bay's sportfishers with FAA Part 107 aerials planned around the boat, not the drone. Orbits at cruising speed show the full profile of the hull. Low chase passes put the viewer right behind the transom. High reveals frame the boat against open water so the scale of the ocean makes the build feel even stronger.
Then we cut the aerials with on-deck and dockside coverage, so the film moves the way a buyer's attention does: the boat in motion, then the details up close, then back out to the horizon. Every shot is graded to match, so the air and the deck read as one film.
The result is a piece Mag Bay can put in front of serious buyers: movie-like marine footage that shows the boat doing exactly what it was built to do.
Newport Beach & the Back Bay
Newport Beach looks different from the air. The harbor opens up, the Back Bay stretches inland, and Newport Dunes sits right where the two meet. That's the picture we built this aerial montage around.
We flew low passes over the water to give the film speed and texture, then pulled up into wide reveals that show how the bay, the marina and the coastline connect. Every move was planned before the drone left the ground: sun position, tide, wind and airspace, so each shot lands clean and on time.
The edit moves from shoreline to open sky in one continuous rhythm, with the color graded warm and natural so it feels like a Newport afternoon, not a stock clip. Transitions are timed to the motion of the camera, so the whole piece flows instead of jumping from shot to shot.
It's the kind of aerial work we bring to every coastal Orange County production: resorts, waterfront properties, marinas and brand films that need a sense of place in the first five seconds.
